These Terms of Service and Purchase Terms (“Terms”) apply to the Knockout Minecraft server, its website, store, community spaces, and related services (“Knockout”). By accessing Knockout or completing a purchase, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service or make a purchase.
You must be at least 18 years old to purchase anything on the LVRD website. Store benefits provide no competitive advantage, crates can be earned through normal gameplay, and every playable hero remains accessible without a purchase.
1. Fan Project and Third-Party Rights
Knockout is an independently operated, unofficial, fan-made Minecraft server. Knockout is not sponsored, approved, or endorsed by, or affiliated with, Mojang Studios, Microsoft, or any creator, publisher, studio, company, or rights holder associated with the characters represented on the server.
Knockout does not claim ownership of Minecraft or of any third-party names, likenesses, characters, trademarks, copyrights, music, or other intellectual property. All such rights remain with their respective owners.
References to third-party characters are used as part of an unofficial fan-game experience. Their inclusion does not indicate ownership, authorization, sponsorship, or endorsement.
Nothing in these Terms grants Knockout or any player permission to use third-party intellectual property outside the server.
2. Heroes Are Free Gameplay Content
Playable heroes are not exclusive paid content. Every hero can be unlocked through the server’s normal gameplay systems with no purchase necessary.
A payment never purchases:
- Ownership of or intellectual-property rights in a playable hero or character
- A hero’s abilities or kit
- Increased damage, health, or statistics
- A competitive advantage
- Exclusive access to a playable character that cannot be unlocked through regular gameplay
Purchases must not be represented as sales of, licenses to, or ownership interests in any third-party hero or character.
3. What Purchases Provide
Purchases support the operation and continued development of Knockout.
A purchase may provide clearly described benefits such as cosmetic content, visual effects, account conveniences, supporter ranks and chat tags, matching Discord roles, recurring crate rewards, supporter recognition, or other non-pay-to-win digital benefits listed on the store page at the time of purchase. Everything offered for purchase can also be unlocked in game through regular gameplay.
Discord role delivery requires membership in the official LVRD Discord server and a successfully linked Discord account. If a purchaser does not link Discord during fulfillment, an eligible role may be claimed later using the verified order and Minecraft account information. Discord roles remain subject to server rules, account enforcement, Discord availability, and continued eligibility for the related Knockout rank.
Discounted rank upgrades are available only to eligible accounts that already hold the rank identified on the upgrade product. The Minecraft username entered at checkout must match an eligible player account, and the account’s current rank may be verified before payment or delivery.
Digital benefits:
- Have no real-world cash value
- Cannot be exchanged for money
- Cannot be transferred unless Knockout expressly permits it
- Do not give the purchaser ownership of server assets or third-party property
- May require an active and eligible Minecraft account
- Remain subject to the server rules and these Terms
4. Final Sales and Refunds
Because purchases provide digital benefits that may be delivered or activated immediately, all purchases are final and non-refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable law or the mandatory rules of the payment platform used for the transaction.
Refunds will not ordinarily be provided because a purchaser:
- Changed their mind
- Stopped playing or became inactive
- Expected something that was not included in the store description
- Lost access because of a warning, suspension, or ban
- Dislikes a balancing change, visual update, server update, or removed feature
- Cannot use a benefit because of an unsupported client, device, modification, or account configuration
If a purchased benefit was not delivered because of a verified technical error, report it on support with the transaction identifier. Knockout may correct the delivery problem, provide an equivalent benefit, or issue a refund when legally required or otherwise determined appropriate.
Unauthorized or fraudulent transactions should be reported promptly to Knockout and the payment provider. Filing a knowingly false payment dispute or chargeback may result in account restrictions where permitted by law.
5. Age Requirement to Purchase
You must be at least 18 years old to purchase anything on the LVRD website. By completing a purchase, you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older and legally able to enter into the transaction.
The person authorizing the payment is responsible for reviewing the product description and these Terms before completing the transaction.
6. No Pay-to-Win
Knockout intends purchases to remain separate from playable hero ownership and direct combat power.
The store will not sell:
- Exclusive playable heroes
- Increased hero damage
- Increased hero health
- Stronger abilities
- Improved competitive statistics
- Other direct gameplay advantages
7. Artificial Intelligence Disclosure
Knockout uses artificial-intelligence-assisted tools as part of its development workflow.
AI may assist with:
- Programming and debugging
- Texture creation and recoloring
- Concept art and promotional images
- Written material
- Other development tasks
AI-assisted material may be reviewed, edited, combined with human-created work, or replaced during development.
The use of AI does not change the ownership of third-party characters or other third-party intellectual property. Knockout does not claim that AI-generated or AI-assisted material grants it rights to protected characters, brands, or assets owned by others.
8. Changes to Content and Benefits
Knockout is an evolving fan project.
Heroes, maps, modes, textures, sounds, balancing, interfaces, cosmetics, and technical systems may be corrected, rebalanced, replaced, renamed, or removed.
Where reasonably possible, a purchased benefit that must be discontinued will be replaced with a substantially similar non-pay-to-win benefit, unless doing so is impossible, unlawful, or prohibited by a platform or rights holder.
9. Account Enforcement
Access to Knockout is conditional upon following the server rules.
Purchases do not:
- Exempt a player from moderation
- Prevent warnings, restrictions, suspensions, or bans
- Guarantee permanent access to the server
Except where required by law, enforcement resulting from a rule violation does not create a right to a refund.
10. Service Availability
Knockout is provided on an “as available” basis.
Maintenance, software failures, hosting outages, compatibility changes, legal requests, security incidents, or other circumstances may interrupt or discontinue some or all of the service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Knockout does not guarantee uninterrupted availability or permanent preservation of accounts, statistics, rankings, seasons, cosmetics, or other data.
11. Mandatory Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms excludes any legal rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Any refund restriction, disclaimer, limitation, or enforcement provision applies only to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
12. Changes to These Terms
Knockout may update these Terms when the service, store, applicable law, or platform requirements change.
The effective date will be updated whenever material changes are published. Continued use of Knockout after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
